The Gospel of Jesus Christ has profoundly transformed the way I understand teaching, learning, and the act of making art. As an artist, student, educator, and practicing Christian, my faith has become an integral lens through which I engage creative inquiry and pedagogical practice. Rooted in the belief that all creation bears meaning and intention, my work has shifted in content, context, and depth of execution.
Art-making, for me, is a reflective and relational process—one that serves as a tool for examining lived experience, cultivating discernment, and deepening understanding. I am particularly interested in process as a site of learning: how the act of making reveals not only form and technique, but also interior movement, growth, and transformation. This inquiry extends beyond the individual to collaborative modes of engagement, where dialogue, shared exploration, and attentiveness to purpose shape the creative journey.
Guided by faith, my practice seeks to honor the forces that animate creation—inviting patience, humility, and intentionality into both making and teaching.
